Future Stars Hit the Hardwood at Penn State Scranton’s Youth Boys Basketball Camp
July 20, 2025 —DUNMORE, Pa- Penn State Scranton is set to host a youth basketball camp on Friday, July 25 and Saturday, July 26, offering a one-day experience for each age group of aspiring athletes to develop their skills, build confidence, and learn from one of the region's top basketball minds.
Led by Head Coach Troy Jackson Jr., a former Division I standout and professional basketball player, the camp is designed to challenge players at every level with a focus on skill development, fundamentals, and high-energy instruction.
The camp is divided into two age groups:

Friday, July 25 | 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM: Boys ages 8-12

Saturday, July 26 | 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM: Boys ages 13-17
Held at the Penn State Scranton gymnasium, the sessions will cover dribbling, shooting, passing, defense, footwork, and in-game decision-making, all under the guidance of Coach Jackson and his collegiate staff and players. Campers will also participate in small-group competitions, team-building activities, and motivational sessions focused on leadership and work ethic.
Coach Jackson brings a unique perspective to the camp, having played at the highest collegiate level and professionally overseas. His hands-on, player-first approach has helped transform Penn State Scranton's basketball program and inspire the next generation of talent in the region. Jackson's camps are more than basketball—thy're about learning to compete, learning to communicate, and learning how to carry yourself on and off the court.
