Stroudsburg's Cabrera Commits to PSU Scranton Men's Basketball

Dunmore, Pa. – Notre Dame East Stroudsburg forward Ryan Cabrera has signed with Penn State Scranton to continue his education and basketball career with the Lions beginning this fall.

Cabrera, a 6'3" powerhouse in the post, averaged 13.2 points per game in his senior season with the Spartans, a dominant team in District XI and a repeat state championship contender in the PIAA.

Cabrera, strong on both sides of the ball, was named a 2022 Lehigh Valley Senior All-Star after one season with the Notre Dame and was a player to watch during the state tournament this spring.

Head Men's Basketball Coach Chris Sload recognized Cabrera's good court vision as a center. "He will give us depth at the 5 spot, and he can pass out of the post," commented Sload, "he also has a step out jumper that will add to our offense."

Cabrera will join the Scranton Lions this fall as a freshman pursuing a degree in Nursing.
