James D. Gallagher Memorial Golf Tournament set for July 29
DUNMORE, Pa. —Penn State Scranton Athletics is excited to host the James D. Gallagher Memorial Golf Tournament on Monday, July 29, 2024 at Pocono Farms in Tobyhanna, PA.
Named in honor of former Penn State Scranton CEO Dr. James D. Gallagher, the golf tournament supports local student-athletes at Penn State Scranton. Registration and breakfast begin at 8:30 am with a shotgun start at 10:00 am followed by an awards ceremony and a BBQ lunch. The cost is $150 per golfer, early bird pricing is $125 until June 30, 2024.
The event aims to fundraise for the 13 Varsity Athletic teams at Penn State Scranton including Men's and Women's Golf, Cross Country, Track & Field, Soccer, Basketball, Women's Volleyball, Baseball & Softball. Proceeds will supplement individual team needs and enhance the student-athlete experience while they compete. Funds raised will be used for team travel, including spring break trips and national events, and renovations and updates to athletic facilities.
The department invites golfers, sponsors, and prize donors to help support PSU and make the event a success.
