Late goal seals win over Beaver at home

Dunmore, Pa. - Penn State Scranton Men's Soccer topped the Roaring Lions of Penn State Beaver this afternoon at home, 2-1.  The home Lions struck first on a goal from freshman Owen Shiels, 25 seconds into the first period for the lone goal of the half. Beaver fought back to tie the game after netting the equalizer in the 81st minute.  Scranton would ultimately prevail on the rainy day, with junior Raphael Carvalho landing a penalty kick in the 88th minute, bringing home the first season win for Scranton and under new Head Coach Bob Denney. The Lions will host Vaughn College this Tuesday, September 26 for a 4 PM kick-off.
