TRAINING ROOM POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:

  1. If you have an appointment, please be on time. If you’re more than 15 minutes late for your scheduled appointment, you will be asked to reschedule.
  2. The athletic training staff is here to help you and assist you in participating in sports in a safe and healthy manner. It is your responsibility to report injuries to the athletic trainer promptly.
  3. Be respectful to the athletic training staff and other student-athletes receiving treatment in the athletic training room. No cursing, intimidation, horseplay, or discrimination will be tolerated towards anyone.
  4. If a student-athlete has changes to their physical such as:
    1. Parents/Guardians change in employment
    2. Change of medical insurance OR loss of medical insurance
    3. Changes to medication, both OTC and prescribed
    4. Changes to medical health

It is the student-athlete’s responsibility to report any and all changes IMMEDIATELY to the athletic training staff or athletic office so that proper medical files can be updated.

  1. Varsity student-athletes will ONLY be taped by the athletic trainer if one of the following applies:
    1. Athlete suffers injury during in-season participation in their sport, which ATC deems taping as part of their rehabilitation program. Athlete must attend rehabilitation sessions either with ATC staff or off campus physical therapy two to three times a week. If a physician writes a script for formal physical therapy, then the student athlete MUST obtain therapy from a formal physical therapy clinic.
    2. If any medical physical documentation is found to be incorrect or factious, the student athlete will be held from varsity athletics practice/games until cleared by team physician.
