Lady Lions suffer first loss of the season to PSU Brandywine, 3-0

DUNMORE, PA- A delay of game marked the start of the Lady Lions match-up against vistors Penn State Brandywine when the team's bus suffered a flat tire 20 miles outside of campus.  The delay didn't seem to phase the PSU Brandywines starting lineup, however, as they swept the matches 3-0 on Scranton's home court.

PSU Scranton struggled to return strong attacks from Brandywines lineup, falling 25-13 and 25-7 in the first two sets, but found their pace in third, too late, however, to challenge the vistors rally.

Sophomore Jess Berger has 5 kills and 10 digs, while freshman libero Shannon Czekaj added 21 digs and Carolyn Mack accumulated 10 assists in the defeat.

The Lady Lions will hit the road this week as they visit local non-conference team Luzurne County Community College in Nanticoke, PA this Tuesday, September 18 at 7:00 pm.
