Bio

Joe Baltrusaitis is the Head Soccer Coach at Penn State Scranton. Coach Balt coached girls and boys soccer at Dunmore High School from 1995 to 2014. He also volunteered as the goalkeeping coach at Marywood University Men’s Soccer program for two years. Coach Balt has been the volunteer treasurer of NEPA Youth Soccer for 25 years and is also a PIAA soccer referee. He also has NSCAA National Coaching and NSCAA Goalkeeping Coaching Certifications. Coach Balt also was the track and field coach at Dunmore Junior Senior High School for 10 years.

Joe Balrusaitis is also a Vietnam War veteran, where he served as a Special Forces Medic. He has a BS and MS in biophysics and science from the University of Scranton. Coach Balt received a Registered Respiratory Therapy Certificate from the University of Chicago and is a retired Technical Director of Cardiopulmonary Physical Medicine Departments at the Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton.
