Bio

Athletic Director Jeff Mallas has been with Penn State University for over 30 years.  As a Penn State graduate, Mr. Mallas upholds the "Success with Honor" mind set and teaches that to the students and athletes at Penn State Scranton.  With a BS in Kinesiology from Penn State and a Masters in Education from East Stroudsburg University, Mr. Mallas oversees the athletic department, coaches bowling, runs intramural sports, and teaches a range of kinesiology classes for credit each semester.

Mr. Mallas is a former Penn State Scranton Soccer, Baseball, and Tennis coach where he was awarded Coach of the Year on numerous occasions. He participated in Cross Country during his time as a student at Penn State.  Mr. Mallas was a letterman in football at Dunmore High School and ran track and field. Mr. Mallas is the Vice President of the The Greater Scranton Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association and is a PIAA Official for boys and girls soccer and basketball.
