Women's Volleyball opened their season at home this Tuesday night against Luzurne Country Community College. Seats were filled as the Lady Lions went set for set with the Trailblazers until finishing in four 3-1.
Returning starter Kerri Jarnagin (junior-HDFS) was a key player on the court for the Lady Lions with 8 kills, 11 assists and 6 aces. Newcomers Emily Tavaris (freshman-prenursing) and Julia Tofilska (feshman-accounting) displayed their skills adding 11 more kills, 6 and 5 respectively. Kayleigh Kempa (sophomore-science) added 6 asissts and 6 aces to round out the top perfromers in the 4 set match-up.
The Lady Lions will travel this Saturday, September 12 to SUNY Delhi in Delhi, NY to take on the Broncos at 12:00 PM.
