Lady Lions Fall in Hard Fought Loss

The Penn State Scranton Lady Lions opened up the 2015-16 season against the Patriots of Valley Forge Christian College. The Lady Lions got off to a slow start going into the half down by 32 points but came out of the locker room firing on all cylinders. Penn State Scranton outscored the Patriots by 23 in the second half cutting Valley Forge's lead to 9 but would fall short 64-55. The Lady Lions were led by sophomore forward, Katie Hart with a double-double of 27 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Also adding to the comeback effort with a double-double was freshman guard, Briah Carling with 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and sophomore guard, Sara Moss with 11 points, and 6 assists. The Lady Lions will host the Falcons of Davis College on Monday, November 16 at 6 PM.
