Lady Lions just miss in game one, drop both in series to SUNY Delhi

The Lady Lions faced a tough loss to USCAA conference team SUNY Delhi at home this afternoon as they took the field after a long weekend trip from sweeping PSU Fayette. 

Game one was a close match up as both teams matched eachother run for run.  It was not until the last inning when SUNY Delhi brought in one more run earning the win 6-5.  In the 1st of the series short stop Julie Cardillo (2) went three for four, catcher Brooke Enslin (15) went three for three with 2 RBI's and and a stolen base and 1st baseman Kait Calogero went two for four with 2 RBI's and a stolen base.  

Both teams had an even match up early on in game two and PSU Scranton was ahead in the second inning.  SUNY went on a run in the third inning sealing the lead and setting the tone for the rest of the game. After three pitching chages PSU Scranton tried to close the gap but couldn't seal it before ending in the 6th 16-8.  Cardillo went two for four with one run scored and right fielder Kelly Richter (5) went four for four with a run scored and a stolen base. 

The Lady Lions will face PSUAC conference team PSU Schuylkill tomorrow at 2 and 4 PM in Schuylkill Haven, PA.
