Five PSWS Student-Athletes Earn Post Season Honors

The PSUAC (Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference) released its All-Conference Team list Sunday afternoon including five Penn State Worthington Scranton student-athletes. Softball team members Julie Cardillo, Kaitlin Calogero and McKenzie Moore along with baseball team members Manny Balines and Nick Demian each earned a spot on the PSUAC 2nd Team All-Conference list following their performances on the field. 

Cardillo, a freshman shortstop for Penn State Worthington Scranton Softball team earned her spot after sitting in the top ten in the conference batting average for the entire season. With 26 hits and 9 RBIs Julie finished the season ranked 8th in the PSUAC with an AVG .441.  First baseman, junior Kaitlin Calogero also scored big at the plate with 1 HR, 20 RBIs and finishing with a .337 AVG and pitcher McKenzie Moore earned her spot ranked 3rd in the conference for strikeouts with a .967 FPCT.

Baseball starting pitcher Manny Balines finished the season in the top ten in strikeouts and 1st baseman Nick Demian finished with a .423 AVG and a .961 FPCT, collectively earning their All-Conference spots.
