Murray, Kasson take home Championship medals this weekend

Penn State Scranton walked off the course with two medals after Saturday's PSUAC Cross Country Championships hosted by PSU Mont Alto at Norlo Park. Matt Murray, sophomore captain, placed first clocking in at 30:32 for the men, earning himself his second 1st team All-Conference award in two seasons.  In addition, fellow teammate and sophomore captain for the females, Alicia Kasson, earned a 3rd place medal finishing in 30:10 and earned her second 1st team All-Conference spot since 2016. 

Newcomer Alexis Karayanis, placed 9th followed by teammate junior Cheyenne Tussel, crossing the line at 34:48 and 35:13, respectively.  All four runners earned all-conference honors, Murray and Kasson 1st team, and Karayanis and Tussel 2nd team.

Practice won't stop for the team who is now headed to Virgina Beach, VA for USCAA Championships on November 10.
