Snow Doesn't Stop Annual Tip-Off Tournament Success

DUNMORE, PA - Despite a winter storm that blew through much of the northeast Thursday night, The PSU Scranton Men's Basketball team hosted its 3rd Annual Tip-Off Tournament in the Multi-Purpose Building on the Scranton campus, however, moving the six-team three-day format bracket, to a condensed two-day weekend showcase.

This year's field featured familiar faces such two-time defending tournament champions Williamson Trade, who lost two games this weekend, falling short to Penn State Wilkes Barre and Scranton.  New additions to the tournament, PSUAC rival PSU Wilkes Barre, earned a win on Saturday pushing them to meet Central Penn, 2017-18 USCAA National Championship Quarter-finalists, in the champiopnship game. USCAA newcomer, Bryant & Stratton College (Albany) and Five Towns College (Long Island) also added to the events success.

An All-Tournament team, a selection of players from each team, was named.  From Penn State Scranton, the All Tournament team member was sophomore, Arel Lamour

Central Penn earned the championship spot Sunday night as they inched past PSU Wilkes Barre in a heated game, 67-63.
