Griffin keeps Lions in close contention

Jeff "Benji" Griffin had 21 points, 5 boards and 2 assists in tonight's matchup against Penn State Brandywine.  The Scranton Lions led the 1st half, going to the locker room ahead by 10 points with Benji earning 16 of his 21 points in the first 20 minutes. With both teams equally matching up in statistics from the floor it was missed 3 point shots that turned the tables for PSU Brandywine, who eventually earned the victory 92-82, redeeming the ten point lead they were down at the half. 

Teammates Brandon Santana and Arel Lamour added 16 and 13 points, respectively.  Shafi Mohammad and Isaiah Wilmore each had 22 points for PSU Brandywine, Mohammad earning a double-double. Brandywine now stands 1-3 in the PSUAC and Scranton 0-5 until 2017 brings the remainder of conference play. 

The PSU Scranton men will host non-conference Vaughn College on Decemeber 20 before the winter break.
