Kelly Drops 32 in Win Over New Kensignton

With snow shutting down areas in surrounding Pennsylvania cities, Penn State Worthington Scranton was spared the brunt of Blizzard 2016 as they hosted Penn State New Kensignton this afternoon.  Tip-off, which was set for 3 p.m., was moved up to 1 p.m. due to the threat of winter weather moving into the area tonight.  The home team took the win in today's matchup, 83-66, earning their second PSUAC win in a row at home.

Sophomore gaurd Kyle Kelly, 10, found his shot early in the game, scoring 17 of Scranton's 39 points before the second half.  Hasiin Dixon, 5, added 9 points and 7 rebounds before halftime, sealing the 39-21 score as the teams went to the locker room.

PSU New Kensignton took the half to go over key plays and clear up mental errors and hit the court in the second half with an 8 point run.  Although New Kensignton was only outscored by one point in the second half, they couldn't make up for the first half gap. Kelly and Dixon hit 15 and 12, respectively, in the second half and with 6 steals in their favor, PSU Scranton sealed the win.

Kyle Kelly led in scoring, with 32 points, and Hasiin Dixon added a double-double 21 points and 12 rebounds.  Brandon Santana had 8 assists in the win.
