Penn State Scranton Baseball drops first home contest on new field

PSU Scranton Baseball hosted Summit University in their home opener on Saturday. The Lions came out strong taking an early lead in the first inning and battled back and forth with the visitors before surrendering the lead for good following a long 3rd inning. PSU Scranton was led by Tom Chuisano who went 2-5 with a double and a stolen base and Ryan Phillips with a double of his own. Also adding to the effort were Matt Denig with 2 RBIs and Christian Tomiano and Zach Torwich with one RBI each. Kearney,  Tomiano and Seidita all added a stolen base each in the 9-4 loss. Alex Terrery and Matt Denig both rank in the top 5 in the conference in ERA. The PSU Scranton Baseball team will open conference play on Monday, March 28th at 2pm when they take on PSU BRandywine.
