A Display of Heart

Hart is a fitting last name for Penn State Scranton's Women's Basketball freshman center who has displayed nothing but heart and dedication on the court so far this season.  Katie, an education major, is in her second semester at Penn State and is one of three returning starters from the spring 2015 season.  After only three non-conference games in the Lady Lions 2015 fall season Hart proves herself a force to be rekond with in the post.

Katie finished out last season averaging 9.4 points per and 4.6 rebounds in ten games.  So far this fall Katie has far surpassed those statistics averaging 25.7 points and 11.7 rebounds in only three games. Leading the Penn State Scranton Lady Lions in scoring, rebounds, blocks and free throw percentage Katie will be a player to watch as they enter conference play on December 1st. 

Katie, a Scranton High School graduate, will take on Central Penn College at home on Sunday at 1PM, culminating their non-conference play.
