Senior Danielle Powell hits the boards to secure player of the week honors

Dunmore, PA - Senior gaurd Danielle Powell has been a dominant force on the court this season for the Lady Lions, ranking 2nd on the team for points and rebounds per game. Danielle, who plays with tenacity on the court, averages 10.4 points per game and 7.7 boards. Earlier in the week the Lady Lions hosted Penn State York in a hardfought loss with Powell earning a double-double 21 points and 13 rebounds.  On the weekend road trip to the west, though the team struggled to recover from first quarter deficits and with starters in foul trouble, Powell came out with 20 points, 5 assists and 10 boards. Danielle and the Scranton Lady Lions will travel to non-conference Central Penn College tonight with an 8:30 PM tip-off.
