Gaurd, Mens Basketball

This week's PSU Scranton Player of the Week is senior, guard Brandon Santana. Santana is a Letters, Arts and Sciences major with an emphasis on psychology, social sciences and communication.

Following his senior season, Brandon plans on going into the Air Force and attending nursing and officer schools to help his family. Brandon Santana, the veteran starting point guard for the Men's Basketball team, was one of the team's most consistent, top scorers in last week's conference match-ups.

Santana shows great poise during games as the floor general and facilitator on both offense and defense. Last week in the first three games of 2017 the senior tallied 40 points, 9 assists and 7 rebounds. Despite the recent losses Santana moves from game to game working to improve on his and his team's performances as the season progresses.Coordinator of Athletics Sara Rinkunas said, "Brandon is always full of positive energy and its contagious among players and staff alike.  He looks at every opportunity, even negative aspects of a game, as a way to build and improve which is an admirable quality for a student-athelte."

The Lions pick up action on Saturday when they travel to PSU Du Bois for their next conference match-up.
