Upcoming Basketball Games Thwardted by Weekend Forecast

Dunmore, PA - The PSU Scranton Men's and Women's Basketball  teams will not be hitting the road today to kick off their 2018 PSUAC scheduled match ups against Penn State Beaver and Greater Allegheny.  The forecast, calling for flash floods, heavy rains and freezing roads will potentially cause unsafe travel conditions as much of the state is already under a winter storm warning. 

Changes have been made to both the teams schedules because of the cancellations this weekend.  Penn State Scranton Lions and Lady Lions will now travel to PSU Beaver and Greater Allegheny on February 9 and 10.  Friday, February 9 the teams will see PSU Beaver with games at 6 pm and 8 pm and Saturday, February 10 they will meet PSU Greater Allegheny for games at 1 pm and 3 pm. The conference match-up against local PSU Wilkes Barre will now be moved from February 9, 2018 to this Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at PSU Wilkes Barre with games at 6 pm and 8 pm. 

After this weekends cancelations the Lions will now have more time to prepare for upcoming Penn State Lehigh Valley who they host this Monday, January 15 at 6 pm for the women and 8 pm for the men. Classes will not be in session Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. day but the gym will be open at 5 pm for arrival of fans.
